This Privacy Policy explains how Daniel Sánchez Cisneros, a UK sole trader trading as Revue ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of the Revue service, collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our website (revue.sh), service, and code review skill ("Service"). The data controller for Revue is Daniel Sánchez Cisneros, trading as Revue.

If Revue is transferred to a limited company after future company registration, we will update this Privacy Policy with the registered company name, company number, and controller details. Until that update is published, the sole-trader operator named above remains the data controller.

When you run Revue locally, code review runs entirely within your own environment (your AI coding agent, e.g. Claude Code). Revue does not receive, store, or process your source code through our servers. The only data transmitted to Revue is:

Important: When you run Revue locally, your code is sent directly from your machine to the AI inference provider you configure (a "bring your own key" model). Revue does not proxy, receive, or relay this data. You are responsible for reviewing and agreeing to the privacy terms of the AI provider you choose.

All sub-processors are contractually obligated to handle your data in accordance with applicable law and this Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy (the storage-limitation principle under UK GDPR), after which it is deleted or anonymized:

We do not send unsolicited marketing emails. You may opt-out of transactional emails (activation, billing) by deleting your account. You cannot opt-out of essential account and billing communications while your account is active.

However, no security measure is 100% effective. We encourage you to use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication on your source control accounts.

7. Children's Privacy / Age Requirements

The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, accept the Terms of Service, and act as the contracting party.

Revue does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Where a person aged 13–17 uses the Service, they may do so only through an account held by a parent, guardian, or other adult aged 18 or over, who is the account holder and payer, who accepts the Terms of Service, and who is responsible for all use of the account and all charges incurred.

If we learn we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete it. To raise a concern, contact legal@revue.sh.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and stored in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may not have the same data protection laws as your home country. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

If you are a resident of the UK or EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms (UK International Data Transfer Agreement, Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or your consent) to lawfully transfer your data internationally.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Stripe). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.

Material changes (e.g., expanded data processing) will be notified via email at least 30 days before taking effect.
